Mass in the Middle of the Night on January 18 at 11 p.m. EST

The next Mass in the Middle of the Night will be held on Wednesday, October 28 at 10 p.m. EST. It will be broadcast on Facebook Live on the Oratory of St. Catherine of Siena’s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/Oratory-of-St-Catherine-of-Siena-264477326928667)

As always, if you like or comment on this post, a candle will be lit for you at the Mass. Also, feel free to email the chaplain at beguine2@yahoo.com with private prayer concerns.

In addition to this, if you would like to light a candle of your own or add a prayer sometime during the middle of that night, you can unite with the intention of the eucharist.

One possible prayer is from the Episcopal Church’s Book of Common Prayer:

“Lighten our darkness, we beseech thee, O Lord; and by thy great mercy defend us from all perils and dangers of this night; for the love of thy only Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.”

Night can be a hard time in a time of uncertainty, and our own private darkness can make things challenging. but Christ is here in the midst of us.
